## Not legal advice

The DPDP Wiki is general information about Indian law. It is not legal advice, does not create any professional relationship, and must not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your facts. MYND Integrated Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is not a law firm.

## Official text

Text shown under "Official text" headings is reproduced from publications of the Government of India (the Gazette of India, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the Press Information Bureau, India Code and other gov.in or nic.in sources). We take care to reproduce it exactly, and we publish checksums of the source documents, but extraction and parsing errors are possible. The Gazette of India is the authoritative text. If you find a discrepancy, write to sales@myndsol.com.

## Interpretation

Plain-English interpretation, guides, FAQ answers, update summaries and answers from "Ask DPDP" are the DPDP Wiki editorial team's reading of the official text. They are labelled "Interpretation, not legal advice" wherever they appear, with the date they were prepared. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Read them as a starting point, then read the official text.

## Currency

In-force status and dates are computed from the commencement notifications on the day the site was last built (shown in the footer). The site is rebuilt daily, but a notification may be published between builds. Always check the Gazette for the latest position.

## Use and licence

Official Government of India texts are reproduced under the general permission to reproduce Acts and Rules for public information. MYND's explanations, guides, structure and code are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0): reuse them with a link back to the page. Automated access through the Markdown, JSON and llms.txt endpoints is welcome; please respect the rate limits on Ask DPDP.

## Privacy

The site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and which forms are used, with IP addresses anonymised; no advertising cookies are set. Ask DPDP questions are processed to produce an answer and cached briefly by their text; they are not stored with your IP address or any identifier. If you send us an enquiry through a contact form, we process the details you give (name, work email, organisation, phone if provided, and your message) only for the purpose of responding to you. You can withdraw consent or ask for erasure at any time by writing to sales@myndsol.com. See MYND's privacy policy for anything else.
